Three configurations. One per machine.
Every machine in your fleet is set up as one of three. Start with one configuration and change it later without replacing the machine.
Case, vending interface module and back cover — the stack that bolts onto your machine.
Cards are never processed by the Citizen terminal. In the payment configurations, card acceptance runs on a certified partner card terminal paired with ours on the same machine.
If your machine speaks a standard interface, it speaks to us.
The terminal connects over standard vending machine interfaces, MDB included. In most cases the machine keeps working exactly as it does today — it just gains new ways to be paid.
- Standard vending machine interfaces, MDB included
- Mounts on the machine front, powered from the machine
- No change to your product planogram or pricing
- Send us your machine models and we'll confirm the fit before you order
Turn on what each machine needs.
Every machine in your fleet can run a different configuration. Change it from the dashboard, not with a screwdriver.
| Method | Best for | How they pay | Cost to you |
|---|---|---|---|
| QR | Public sites, visitors, one-off buyers | Phone camera and their own banking app | €0.04 + 0.15% per transaction |
| Cards | Public sites and anyone who reaches for a card | Contactless card or phone wallet, on the paired partner terminal | Our partner's rate |
| Tokens | Offices, campuses, closed sites, staff machines | A badge tap, or the app | €0.02 per transaction |
Tokens are closed-loop credit topped up in advance — the badge is the physical carrier, and the same credit works from the app. Cards run on a certified partner card terminal paired with ours on the same machine.
Know what every machine did today.
Each terminal reports sales, stock movement and its own health back to the dashboard, so a route is planned from data instead of guesswork.
- Sales per machine — Revenue and volume by machine, by site and by acceptance method.
- Stock levels — What's selling, what's sitting, what will run out before your next visit.
- Machine health — Online, offline, or quiet when it shouldn't be. We watch it too.
- Route planning — Refill the machines that need it instead of driving the whole loop.
Small baskets, small fees.
Vending baskets are small, so the per-transaction cost is what matters. A QR bank payment costs €0.04 + 0.15% — about four cents on a €1.50 coffee — and a token transaction costs €0.02, while cards stay available on machines fitted with the paired partner terminal.
Cents on bank payments
€0.04 + 0.15%: about four cents on a €1.50 coffee, five on a €6 lunch.
Two cents per token tap
Closed-loop credit moves inside your own estate, so a tap costs €0.02. The bank fee was paid once, on the top-up.
Money in seconds
Bank payments settle over SEPA Instant, so cash flow doesn't wait on a batch.
Cards still welcome
Machines fitted with the paired partner card terminal keep taking cards at the partner's rate — nothing is taken away.
